What does a great Product Manager - Payments do?

You will lead the dedicated management of payments products to drive revenue, grow market share, and enhance customer retention and expansion.

You will develop, communicate and implement the annual product plan and roadmap detailing product definition and delivery, market analysis, pricing and product development for assigned products. You will develop and manage the product life cycle to ensure products are marketable, profitable and of the highest quality. You will understand the marketplace and drive product positioning. Identify strategies to meet product objectives by involving appropriate functional areas in decision-making.

As a Product Manager - Payments, you can look forward to:

-  Establish product direction for the products, including product line extensions and target markets supported by associated business cases and related financial analysis.

-  Interview and meet with customers to better understand the market and market problems and to prioritize their needs and requests for enhancements.

-  Track industry trends, product segment growth, market spend, and market share.

-  Create and implement annual product plans and roadmaps including new products/enhancements to expand service offering, drive revenue, and increase profitability

-  Lead the product through all stages of the product’s life cycle, including the inception, elaboration, construction, transition, and support phases.

-  Enable, support and train sales, client services, and professional services staff on new product functionality delivered.

-  Actively participate with product development teams to define product requirements, specifications and acceptance testing criteria. Review and provide final sign-off for all requirements for any owned modules.

-  Collaborate with various departments to ensure product deployment, go-to-market and quality goals are defined, achieved and maintained.

-  Communicate release status and product status with key team members.

-  Lead Product Advisory councils and User Group meetings including facilitating and developing content for meetings.

-  Facilitate and seed strategic ideas through our ideas portal.

-  Identify and communicate market intelligence needs for products to our Market Intelligence group.

-  Own and constantly evaluate metrics to measure product or feature effectiveness.

-  5+ years’ experience in the Product Management discipline

-  Undergraduate degree required (Business or Finance preferred)

-  Excellent critical thinking and analytical abilities

-  Excellent collaboration and relationship management abilities

-  Ability to recognize problems and recommend solutions

-  Effective project management and prioritization skills

-  Strong interpersonal, communication and team-building skills

-  Superior presentation and influencing skills


-  5+ years’ experience in payments with both technology and operational experience preferred

-  Commercial payments experience preferred
