What you will need is ambition, talent and some key skills. For this vital role, we’re looking for someone who is responsible for managing various email programs for InterContinental Hotels Group’s brands and loyalty program to drive engagement and revenue at IHG hotel brands.  Support the Global Direct Marketing team and other company stakeholders to develop the strategy for, build, test, and maintain lifecycle marketing and customer journey communications.  Analyze, track, and report on project data and assigned marketing programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities – (Key Activities)

•Manage a portfolio of lifecycle and stay-related email communications

•Ensure that email marketing campaigns are in alignment with approved operational plan, budget, and timelines

•Test effectiveness of email marketing strategies and learnings for continuous improvement

•Keep current with competitive landscape, market trends, industry innovations, and best practices across functional areas

•Identify opportunities for growth and efficiencies in email campaigns utilizing internal data and industry best practices

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education – 

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Business, E-Commerce, Marketing or a relevant field of work, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.

Experience –

•2-5 years progressive work-related experience with demonstrated mastery of technical and business knowledge and understanding of multiple disciplines/processes related to the email marketing.

•Ideally looking for 2 years experience in E-Commerce and/or the travel industry. Experience with Strongview or other ESP’s a plus.

Technical Skills and Knowledge –

•Knowledge of direct marketing principles including lifecycle marketing, segmentation, marketing data analysis, and split testing

•Ability to hand-code and troubleshoot HTML

•Experience working with major brands to create, send, and report on targeted email campaigns

•Strong understanding and demonstrated experience in leveraging dynamic content within email

•Knowledge of rendering of various email clients and content filtering

•Ability to setup controlled tests and analyze customer data

•Demonstrated knowledge of email design and best practices including contact strategies, testing, deliverability, and list segmentation

•Understanding of CAN-SPAM compliance and other international email related regulations

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

•Majority of work is performed in a normal office environment.

•Travel required as needed to facilitate business objectives (generally 5-10%)
