Kabbage is blazing a trail in big data and FinTech, and we are looking for a Customer Marketing Intern to join the Kabbage team this summer as we continue our amazing growth trajectory. If you possess a desire to contribute to the growth of a fast growing company while gaining valuable, real life experience, then we want to talk!

Kabbage is more than a lender for small businesses; our data and technology platform is now being used as a fully branded product by other lenders, and our products are expanding.  We've received numerous awards & recognition, including Glassdoor's 2017 Best Places to Work, "36th fastest growing company in the US" on the INC 500 List, Fast Company's "Top 10 most innovative companies in finance" and Forbes' "America's Top 100 Most Promising Companies" among others.

The environment: Of course we have all of the requisite goodies: unlimited food and beverages (of all kinds), lunch catered daily, regular ping pong tournaments, free parking, and white boards filled with questionable drawings. More than that, we have a pretty tight team of passionate, driven individuals with whom you wouldn't mind spending a big part of your day.

About the program:

The Brussels Sprouts Internship Program at Kabbage has been designed to benefit both the interns and Kabbage. We are excited to be a resource for growth and development and eager to see what the interns bring to the table.

This is a 9-week paid summer internship program (June 4 - August 3). Interns, fondly referred to as "Brussels Sprouts," will belong to a real Kabbage team where they will develop their skills, build their knowledge, and stoke their interests. As part of the team, the intern will be tasked with a project and guided to its completion. Yes, you'll do real work!

Over the course of the internship, Brussels Sprouts will participate in informative seminars covering various topics that will help prepare them to enter the job market once they graduate. The Brussels Sprouts also get to enjoy the amazing culture of Kabbage and participate in their own team building events.

What you'll be doing:

Our Customer Marketing intern will learn about the ins and outs of the Kabbage small business customer: what makes them tick, what their needs are, and what they look for in a lender. You’ll have hands on experience in understanding how to measure the impact of various campaigns with advanced analytics to evaluate results & measure ROI. You'll work with the Head of Customer Marketing for Kabbage as well as internal stakeholders across all Marketing and Product functions to help design and measure campaigns that drive value back to Kabbage. At a glance you will:

  1. Analyze from multiple angles the performance of various campaigns and Kabbage products (statistical analysis, qualitative and quantitative research).
  2. Design recommendations for new campaigns or products that are focused on meeting customer needs.
  3. Build the supporting business cases for these campaigns and products.

What you should have:

  • Superior writing and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, modeling, and presentations.

What we're looking for in you:

  • Can-do attitude: Approaches situations with a desire and need to succeed. Will not just accept traditional view of problems.
  • Analytically oriented: A desire to see ideas proven rather than accept what is desired.
  • Creativity: There is not just one answer to any problem, nor is any failed attempt final.
  • Adaptability: Must be able to adapt to an evolving organization, but also remain grounded in a client-centric mindset.
  • Confidence: Has confidence in abilities and is comfortable defending uncomfortable positions, but also accept when/if they are wrong.
  • High standards: Should expect and only accept work of the highest caliber.
  • Open/honest: Makes the "right" decision and does so without question, and is able to answer questions without fear.

Why Kabbage?

  • Our people! We are very proud of our people, our products, and our fun, friendly, and passionate culture.
  • Fully stocked kitchen and catered lunches daily.
  • Casual work environment: just cover all of the requisite parts!
  • Top of the line hardware.
  • Yoga or bootcamp, anyone?

Juniors and Seniors in undergraduate programs and graduate students are welcome to apply. We are also happy to accept applications from international students.

If you are interested in working with us this summer, please submit your resume by April 2, 2018.
