Are you an experienced storyteller who enjoys variety and knows how to dig deep to mine for and develop great content? Do you know how to analyze campaign results and adjust creative as needed to optimize performance? Marsden Marketing is looking for a full-time associate with the creativity, skills, and drive to join our team as an inbound marketing and content specialist.

In this role, you’ll research, plan, and develop a wide variety of content for our B2B clients. We’re looking for useful, engaging, high-quality assets that help our clients meet their sales and marketing goals and gain new business. Content needs include white papers, case studies, eBooks, infographics, blogs, websites, social media, emails, webinars, and presentations.

This position reports to the Client Success Manager and will be an integral part of our inbound marketing team. The best news? This is a new role and we’re growing fast, so you’ll have the chance to make a real difference both to our clients and our agency.


SKILL LEVEL: 2-5 years of experience in content creation and marketing (corporate or agency)

  • Research, write, and edit content that establishes our clients as leaders and demonstrates their capabilities and accomplishments among their chosen audiences
  • Assist in developing and defining content marketing strategies that align with clients’ business goals, objectives and buyer personas
  • Develop compelling content that is keyword-rich to support SEO strategies
  • Use our marketing automation platforms (HubSpot/Pardot) to optimize our clients’ campaign goals through email campaigns, content marketing, and social media channels
  • Assist in tracking, analyzing, and reporting on campaign performance and make recommendations for improvements and best practices
  • Manage projects, timelines, and deliverables for assigned clients
  • Participate in internal and client strategy sessions
  • Contribute to the company’s blog and other marketing efforts as required


  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or another related field from a respected four-year institution
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in content creation for a company or agency; B2B experience a plus
  • A passionate writer who’s comfortable with a variety of writing styles; superior research, copywriting, and editing skills
  • The ability to think creatively and execute tactically
  • Analytical thinking skills - uses data to drive strategy and to focus activities
  • Tech-savvy and proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated success in managing multiple projects at one time
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Independent thinker who also is a team player
  • Voracious learner who is always up for a new challenge


  • Basic understanding of inbound marketing and marketing automation platforms and related content needs
  • Understands metrics including CTR, impressions, conversions, etc. related to digital marketing campaigns
  • Experience working with SEO tools (i.e. AHREFS)
  • Basic graphic design experience
  • Familiarity with WordPress
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and Google Analytics
