Georgia State University, Department of Recreational Services, is searching for an outstanding candidate to fill the role of Marketing Specialist.

This position will assess the needs of the department, develop and execute detailed comprehensive marketing campaigns to attract students, faculty/staff and affiliates. Partners with the department leadership to identify the marketing needs. Design or oversee the creation of all marketing materials for the Atlanta Campus and Perimeter Campus locations including but not limited to digital signage, print and a variety of marketing mediums. The Atlanta campus includes marketing for facilities and programs areas including 25 Sport Clubs. The Perimeter Campuses includes marketing unique items to each campus that addresses program areas and operations. Develops semester program guide, the Recreation Connection, for the Perimeter campuses. In collaboration with the Associate Director of Programs, reviews the designs of Atlanta campus Recreation Rap Up. Coordinates all professional photography.

Coordinates Departmental representation at University events to market memberships, programs, services and facilities.

Coordinates for the Atlanta and Perimeter campuses all daily social media, organizes printing of materials. Liaison for articles published in University media including the Signal and GSTV. Drafts media releases. Coordinates with the Department of Public Relations, Marketing and Communications to produce articles and videos highlighting the department.

Manage a creative design team of Graduate Assistant (1) and student assistants (4) that support the production of all marketing products.

Is the liaison with the Division's Director of Communications to ensure compliance of Division and University guidelines. Creates a semester and annual marketing report. This position may require weekend and evening hours.

Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations

Preferred Qualifications - Master’s degree in Marketing Public Relations or related field. 3 years of full time experience in a University setting. Expertise with Adobe Creative Cloud.
